E-mail

Members of Doctors.net.uk get an exclusive, free-to-use e-mail account at the doctors.org.uk domain, protected from spam and viruses. The address will be yours for life and unlike other web-based e-mail services, Doctors.net.uk e-mail is accepted in NHS Trusts.

Access e-mail from anywhere

The e-mail service can be accessed from the website, or used with other e-mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook.

Calendar

The website also provides a calendar for organising your meetings and events, and storage for your documents. You can even set up your account to share your mailbox or folders with other doctors.

Manage your contacts

Contacts can be managed and put into groups for convenient e-mailing, and a powerful rules system allows you to automatically delete certain messages, redirect them or set up Out of Office replies.

Clinical bulletins and alerts

You will be kept up-to-date with the latest news and information according to your grade and speciality in your regular clinical bulletins, and you can also customise the information you receive to include alerts when a forum you are interested in is updated (and there are hundreds to choose from). In addition to all this, you can be sent round-ups of the best stories from the major medical journals, and can opt in to market research and regularly get the opportunity to earn eSR points (the Doctors.net.uk currency that can be redeemed at amazon.co.uk, Marks & Spencer and John Lewis, among other places).

Support

Explanatory guides on Doctors.net.uk show you how to use these features, but the e-mail service is also backed up by the member services helpdesk, available between 8am and 7pm on weekdays (and that's on a normal national number, not an expensive premium rate.)
