Richard Adams - CEO Doctors.net.uk group

Richard AdamsRichard joined Doctors.net.uk in September 2007. He was previously Senior Vice President EMEA at Sabre Holdings, the parent company of Travelocity.com and lastminute.com. Richard has many years' experience in the healthcare sector having served as Managing Director UK and Vice President Europe for Dendrite International and, earlier, in a variety of positions at IMS Health. He began his career as a medical representative for Wellcome.

Paul Concannon - operations director

Paul ConcannonWith 22 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Paul has worked for a number of companies including Wyeth and Viatris. His experience spans a range of areas including sales, sales training, sales force effectiveness and marketing. He has also been involved in setting up Primary Care Organisation (PCO) focused sales teams.

Business development

Rupert Potter - business development director

Rupert PotterBefore joining Doctors.net.uk, Rupert worked for AstraZeneca in both primary and secondary care sales and marketing. He has over eight years' pharmaceutical experience and has also worked for the NHS on strategic development. In his role as business development director, he helps to provide solutions to clients' eMarketing strategies and to develop new business opportunities for Doctors.net.uk

Caroline Green - business development manager

Caroline GreenCaroline has held several senior positions throughout the pharmaceutical industry and brings to Doctors.net.uk over 15 years' experience in pharmaceutical medical education, marketing, sales and training.

Natalie Downs - business development manager

Natalie DownsNatalie's professional career spans over 19 years. In that time she has specialised in business development and management. Before joining Doctors.net.uk, she spent two and a half years focusing on the NHS at a business intelligence solutions company.

Design and production

Kay Prescott - head of design

Kay PrescottKay has nine years’ experience in the design industry and for the last seven years has specialised in website development and eMarketing. In 2005 she joined Doctors.net.uk to head up creative services. Previously she worked for Oculus Design & Communications.

Chris Hawker - designer

Chris HawkerChris joined Doctors.net.uk in October 2006. He has many years of experience in digital design and production including web design, software interface design and multimedia authoring. He gained a masters degree in electronic media in 2004 from Oxford Brookes University. Previously he worked for XKO Group plc.

Account management

Annika Voss - senior account manager

Annika VossAnnika has worked in business-to-business account management for most of her professional life. In the two years before joining Doctors.net.uk in October 2005, she was part of the International Client Service team for a global pharmaceutical data provider.

Katy McPherson - account manager

Katy McPhersonPrior to joining Doctors.net.uk, Katy held account management roles with two multinational freight forwarders in the Oil & Gas industry. Katy manages campaigns from initiation through to launch on the site, monitoring their success and ensuring targets are met.

Jon Nye - account executive

Jon NyeJon joined Doctors.net.uk in 2005 after finishing his A-Levels at Henley College. He studied Business Studies and Information Technology and is now pursuing his career in Sales and Marketing. His main job role is to support the account managers.

Medical team

Patricia Davis - senior medical writer

Patricia DavisPatricia joined Doctors.net.uk in January 2006 after completing a PhD in medical sciences at Oxford University. Before her doctorate, she spent several years working as a medical writer and editor for book, journal and Internet publishers.

Aisling O'Keeffe - medical writer

Aisling o'KeeffeAisling joined Doctors.net.uk in April 2007 with a PhD in biological sciences and several years’ experience in medical research. Prior to joining Doctors.net.uk, Aisling worked with Oxford Immunotec, where she played a key role in training and educating clinical and laboratory personnel on the company’s diagnostic platform.

Dr Rick Pullinger - medical advisor

Dr Rick PullingerRick is a Consultant at the John Radcliffe Emergency Department. He leads SHO recruitment and training and teaches a variety of life support courses, medical student and other programs. Rick joined Doctors.net.uk in December 2005 and is involved with education and training, including further developments in Journal Watch, educational modules, mandatory staff training, user interface, related new fora and associated bulletins.

Dr Shaibal Roy - medical advisor

Dr Shaibal RoyShaibal trained in Medicine at Guy's, Kings' and St. Thomas' School of Medicine, and joined Doctors.net.uk from the Royal College of Physicians, London where he managed project work related to Governmental health ICT reforms. He complemented this national role with a unique appointment to the ICT Directorate at the Hospital Trust where he was training as an SHO, providing clinical and strategic direction for Trust ICT developments. Shai's main focus as Medical Adviser is the development of a medical Wikipedia information resource.

Dr Janet Donaldson - medical advisor

Dr Janet Donaldson Janet's UK training was in Manchester and Essex and she qualified as a GP in 1991. She has since worked in a variety of practices in the UK as well as Australia, and has an MSc in Health Informatics from City University.


Education

Clare Gallaher - education project manager

Clare Gallaher Clare has recently joined Doctors.net.uk after working as Senior Project Editor at the publishers Scholastic and then as Programme Co-ordinator at Warwick Business School. She has a BA in Humanities and is married with three children, one of whom is a medical student at the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London.

Katherine Randell - education assistant

Katherine RandellKatherine comes to Doctors.net.uk from Central Michigan University where she earned a Bsc in English and a minor in Earth Science in 2004. After coming to the UK, she has worked in administration in a variety of health settings. She enjoys being actively involved in the education of doctors throughout the country.


Editorial

Jon Twinn - editorial director

Jon TwinnJon heads up the Editorial Team which is responsible for the content of the Doctors.net.uk website and the clinical bulletin. He oversees new developments on the website and ensures quality and editorial standards are met. Prior to joining Doctors.net.uk, Jon was website manager for the Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health.

Davina Miller - editorial manager

Davina MillerPrior to joining Doctors.net.uk, Davina has had over eight years' experience managing aspects of various websites within scientific publishing and the public sector. She manages the content of the Doctors.net.uk website and ensures that editorial standards are applied throughout the site.

Sonja Black - editorial assistant

Sonja BlackAfter graduating with a degree in English Language and Linguistics, Sonja has worked in a number of marketing roles and joins Doctors.net.uk as an Editorial Assistant, helping maintain the site.



Lucy Cropper - editorial assistant

Lucy CropperSince leaving Hartpury College with a National Diploma in Equine Business Management, Lucy worked with horses for many years before entering the office environment as a secretary and ultimately becoming a PA/Legal Assistant. She is now part of the Doctors.net.uk Editorial Team, helping to produce bulletins and generally maintaining the content of the site.

David Blowers - editorial assistant

David BlowersA graduate in Media Writing, David has a background of editorial work and website design/maintenance in both publishing and healthcare companies, as well as freelance. He has worked in healthcare since 1997, including four years in BMA House looking after members of the Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists. He helps the Editorial team maintain Doctors.net.uk.

IT

Keith Macdonald - programme manager

Keith MacdonaldKeith has over 20 years' experience in roles such as System Designer, Database Architect/Administrator and Project Manager while working as a consultant with major companies such as BT, Microsoft, Nationwide, NatWest and several government departments/agencies. He has a wealth of experience of satisfying customer requirements and managing the full life-cycle of large and complex systems in a constantly-changing world.

Iain Shipley - programme manager

Iain ShipleyIain has over ten years experience of delivering products in the IT industry with efficiency and quality. Planning improvements to existing products and driving new solutions, Iain provides a communication interface between technical and non-technical members of the organisation.

Tushar Tendolkar - project manager

TusharTushar started his professional life as a software developer then went on to develop and manage projects. He joined Doctors.net.uk in 2006 as a Project Manager and has been involved in various projects. His primary objective is to provide members with an enriching experience.
