New pharmacy services for contraception and antidepressants: What it means for GPs

Women seeking emergency contraception can now be directed to their local community pharmacy for immediate, free access withouta GP appointment.

From today (Wednesday), nearly 10,000 community pharmacies across England are offering the service, in what officials are calling the most significant shift in sexual health services since the 1960s.
