Each year at Christmas many doctors volunteer to provide care for people who are homeless through the charity Crisis. Two GPs share their experience – and the surprising lessons that they've taken away.

When the patient having his foot examined mentions that he has also had some trouble breathing, the podiatrist nods. About 20 minutes later, with a freshly bandaged foot, that same patient is sitting just a few steps away telling a GP about his bad chest.
