32,000 doctors’ shifts in London unfilled in 6 months, BMA finds

A British Medical Association investigation has found that more than 32,000 doctors shifts were unfilled across London in the second half of last year.

A Freedom of Information request to all hospital trusts in the capital showed the extent to which shifts are being offered to doctors but not staffed.
