ADHD medication in childhood may reduce risk of psychosis later in life

The use of ADHD drug methylphenidate in childhood may reduce the risk of psychosis in later life, a study has found.

Analysis of data from Finnish population registries found no overall association between sustained treatment with methylphenidate risk before the age of 13 years and diagnosis of psychosis in adulthood.
