Advanced MRI may improve aortic stenosis diagnosis

Four-dimensional flow cardiovascular MRI can be more accurate at diagnosing aortic stenosis than standard echocardiography, research suggests.

When measuring peak blood flow velocity through the aortic valve, the method known as 4D flow CMR significantly outperformed transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).1
