Almost 700 medical students waiting ‘in limbo’ for foundation jobs – BMA

Almost 700 medical students are “in limbo” and may not know where they will be working until shortly before they start their first jobs, according to the British Medical Association.

These final year students are in “placeholder” positions for their foundation year one roles, meaning that while they have been told which deanery they will work in from August, they do not know where it will be.
