Almost a quarter of patients ‘do not know difference’ between a PA and a doctor

Almost a quarter of patients responding to a survey by Healthwatch England said they did not know the difference between a physician associate and a doctor.

A poll of nearly 2,000 adults in England found 23% do not understand the difference between the roles, compared with 52% who said they strongly or somewhat agreed that they did.
