The emergence of highly mutated new variants shows Covid still has a few surprises to give us. And with long Covid cases mounting, it calls into question whether the current laissez-faire approach can persist much longer.
Approaching 4 years after the pandemic began, having heard a huge amount about COVID-19 in that time and with so much else to occupy their attentions now, doctors would be forgiven for becoming a little complacent.
