BMA Consultants' Conference votes in favour of industrial action ballot

British Medical Association consultants have voted overwhelmingly in favour of holding a strike ballot, claiming that industrial action “may well be inevitable”.

At the annual UK Consultants Conference in London on 1 March 2023, 88% (140) of 160 attendees voted in favour of a motion around balloting members over industrial action.
