BMA opposes proposed amendment to assisted dying bill

Doctors are preparing to challenge a proposed amendment to the assisted dying bill that would prevent them from initiating conversations about the topic with patients.

The British Medical Association is expected to give evidence to a parliamentary committee at the end of January, which is examining the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) private member’s bill.
