BMA seeks rate negotiations for London doctors’ extra shifts

Hospital trusts across London have collaborated to “suppress rates of pay” for extra shifts, the British Medical Association has claimed.

It has called on NHS chief executives for London trusts to open negotiations on pay rates for non-contracted hours, as it said rates had been set at lower levels than in other parts of the country.
