“You break the gatekeeper, you break the NHS. You fix general practice, you fix the NHS. And we can’t afford not to,” Dr Katie Bramall-Stainer has told an audience at the BMA’s annual representative meeting.

The GP Council England chair told ARM delegates in Belfast that the restrictions within the additional roles reimbursement scheme (ARRS) were stopping practices employing the GPs and practice nurses they need.
