'Breakthrough’ treatment for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy rolled out on NHS

Hundreds of children in England with Duchenne muscular dystrophy will be able to access a drug on the NHS that can help them retain the ability to walk for longer.

Givinostat will be made available to eligible patients with after its manufacturer struck a commercial deal with NHS England, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice) said.
