Brighton hospital introduces amnesty bins for weapons amid rising violence against staff

Amnesty bins for knives have been introduced at a hospital trust following nearly 2,000 incidents of verbal and physical abuse from patients and visitors.

More than 40 dangerous items have been handed in since the start of the year after the bins were installed across sites owned by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).
