Campaigners threaten legal action over move that 'ends' NICE independence

Campaigners have threatened the government with a court battle over a legal change they claim puts the independence of NICE at risk.

Two groups, Global Justice Now and Just Treatment, say that legislation giving health ministers direct control over cost-effectiveness thresholds used to assess drugs for the NHS is “unlawful and undemocratic”.
