Cardiac arrest study supports current management of CO2 levels

A promising emerging treatment for critically ill adult cardiac arrest patients has not proved superior to current treatment, a major global study has found.

The Targeted Therapeutic Mild Hypercapnia After Resuscitated Cardiac Arrest (TAME) study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, is one the largest trials conducted on cardiac arrest patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU).
