‘Catastrophic’ rankings error led to specialty training offers being retracted

An error in processing applications for training places has resulted in offers in radiology being retracted and led to delays in other specialties releasing offers.

Radiology applicants who received offers on Monday were later sent an email stating “we have taken the difficult decision to retract offers made and start the process again, with the correct rankings”.
