Clade lb mpox case detected in England with no link to previous infections

A new case of clade lb mpox has been detected in England, the UK Health Security Agency confirmed.

The case was detected in Leeds with the individual returning from Uganda, where there is “community transmission” of this strain, the UKHSA said.
