Clinicians warned to act fast for suspected stroke after rise in ombudsman investigations

England’s health ombudsman has warned doctors to act quickly when they suspect a stroke after a rise in complaints and investigations about care.

Over the past four years there has been a 25% rise in complaints and a 65% rise in the number of investigations related to strokes carried out by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO).
