College urges halt in recruitment of PAs in paediatrics

There should be a pause in the recruitment of physician associates into paediatrics, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has said.

The college has announced its view that PAs should stop being recruited into its specialism, following a consultation. This culminated in an independently-run survey, open for 4 weeks between August and September, answered by 2,285 UK-based paediatrician members.
