Diagnosing children earlier with ADHD improves grades, research finds - as waiting lists climb

Earlier ADHD diagnosis in children is associated with better educational outcomes including higher grades and lower rates of school dropout, a major study has found.

The research, published in JAMA Psychiatry, analysed national registry data from 580,132 people born in Finland between 1990 and 1999 and followed them to age 20.
