Doctor who recommended unlicensed therapy for lung cancer avoids erasure despite GMC’s push

A locum consultant oncologist has avoided being struck off the medical register despite the GMC’s push for it after failing to demonstrate insight into serious misconduct that put cancer patients at risk of harm.

Dr Jan Mozny was instead suspended for a further 12 months at a third review of his case by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal (MPTS).
