New criteria for doctor selection, fines for missed appointments, and an NHS totally independent of politicians are among ideas put together by a group of prominent members of the medical profession.

The book has been collated by leading psychiatrist Professor Dinesh Bhugra, who conducted interviews asking for ideas about how to solve the problems of the NHS.
