Doctors speak out about serious concerns on assisted dying bill

Two medical royal colleges have raised serious concerns about the assisted dying bill for England and Wales as the proposed legislation prepares to return to Parliament.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) has said it cannot support the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill in its current form due to “too many unanswered questions” about the safeguarding of people with mental illness.
