Doctors warned off being anonymous on social media

Doctors should usually say who they are when commenting on healthcare stories on social media, according to new detailed General Medical Council guidance.

The ruling is included in detailed appendices to Good Medical Practice – which have alarmed doctor groups who say that doctors will not have time to absorb it.
