Dual genetic testing detects 84% of early multiple myeloma relapses, study suggests

Dual genetic testing is more accurate than the traditional approach of DNA profiling alone in identifying multiple myeloma patients who may be at risk of early relapse, UK researchers have found.

Combining traditional DNA profiling with RNA gene expression testing can identify 84% of early myeloma relapses – therefore catching many who would be missed by standard chromosomal profiling alone, say the team.
