ED doctor cleared of 'hypnotic' sexual misconduct allegations after tribunal re-review

An emergency medicine doctor accused of speaking to patients in a “hypnotic way” has been cleared of sexual misconduct for a second time by the tribunal service.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service was ordered to re-review Dr Neill Charles Garrard’s fitness to practise after a High Court hearing ruled his original hearing in 2023 failed to apply “the correct legal approach” given that two patients had submitted similar sexual misconduct complaints against him.
