Equalities watchdog vows to pursue the NHS if it does not update its gender policies

The chairwoman of Britain’s equalities watchdog has vowed to pursue organisations such as the NHS if they do not update their gender policies following Wednesday’s ruling.

Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) chairwoman Baroness Kishwer Falkner called the Supreme Court ruling on defining the terms woman and sex in the 2010 Equality Act “enormously consequential”.
