Ex-GP fails in bid to reduce 22-year jail term for sexually abusing patients

A former GP who was found guilty of historic sex offences during his practice in the 1980s and the 1990s has failed to get his 22-year prison sentence reduced on appeal.

Dr Stephen Ronald Cox, who worked in Berkshire, was convicted on 10 counts of indecent assault – one of the complainants was 13 at the time of the offence.
