Expansion of OpenSAFELY: What it means for GP patient data

The research platform OpenSAFELY, which was used during the COVID-19 pandemic, has secured new funding to allow its expansion.

The charitable foundation Wellcome, which invests in pharmaceutical and medical research, has given £17 million to the project to allow researchers to run tests using real GP patient data.
