First leukaemia patient gets breakthrough CAR-T treatment on NHS

A patient with an aggressive form of leukaemia is the first to receive a new treatment on the NHS that offers a “real chance of long-term remission”.

Oscar Murphy was given CAR-T therapy for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at Manchester Royal Infirmary earlier this month.
