First new core IT system for general practices ‘in a quarter of a century’

GP practices across England will see the introduction of the first new core IT system in 25 years, NHS England has announced.

The “new generation” of electronic patient record systems for GPs, created by Medicus Health, will use cloud-based technology to integrate primary care in other settings such as care homes and vaccination centres, according to the body.
