Foundation doctors being ‘failed’ by postgraduate recruitment process

Competition for medical training places has been “growing rapidly” and is putting “immense strain” on resident doctors, the Royal College of Physicians has warned.

The college is calling for a review of postgraduate training to ensure publicly funded medical school places result in more doctors in the NHS.
