Funding boost for development of MND treatment

A funding boost of more than £78 million has been announced for the development of a potential treatment for motor neurone disease.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the most common form of MND, currently has no cure. It affects 5,000 people in the UK.
