GMC faces legal action by BMA over associate regulation

The British Medical Association has announced it is launching legal action against the General Medical Council over how it plans to regulate physician and anaesthesia associates.

The GMC is to become the regulator of PAs and AAs (Medical Associate Profession roles) in December this year, after legislation was passed by the UK and Scottish parliaments.
