GP appointed RCP special adviser on population health

GP Dr Chris Packham has been appointed by the Royal College of Physicians as a special adviser on population health.

Dr Packham, who is an associate medical director at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS trust, practising inner city GP and former director of public health in Nottingham, will look at the social determinants which contribute to poor health and health outcomes. He has been a member of the RCP’s Health Inequalities Advisory Group since 2021.
