GPs have been given guidance on which influenza vaccines to order for the autumn vaccination programme, with news that one vaccine is not being made for this year’s programme.

NHS England has said the drug company Sanofi are not making the recombinant quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIVr) available this year, so providers should order the alternative first line vaccines, based on the 2024 to 2025 influenza vaccine recommendations of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).
