GPs demand pause to CQC inspections

The Royal College of General Practitioners has called for a pause in Care Quality Commission inspections and an end to the one-word rating system.

The college says it has written to the government after “repeatedly” raising concerns about the impact of routine CQC inspections on GP workload and negative experiences reported by practitioners and their teams.
