GPs will be incentivised to offer weight-loss drugs to 'increase access'

GPs will be incentivised to offer weight-loss injections as the government said that some practices are yet to prescribe the new treatment.

Two new indicators will be added to the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) as part of the updated GP contract for 2026-27 to "track" the provision of obesity care.
