A landmark UK study has found taking two specially designed nutritional capsules twice a day can help slow the progression of prostate cancer.

As part of a double blind randomised clinical trial, led by oncologists at Addenbrookes and Bedford Cambridge University Hospitals and completed in October, 212 men with early but progressing prostate cancer were recruited. They were given the opportunity to try a nutritional intervention before they considered radical treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy or hormone therapies.
