Health secretary to meet BMA ahead of planned strike action

Health secretary Wes Streeting will meet representatives from the British Medical Association this week for talks in an effort to avoid planned strike action.

The union welcomed the meeting, saying the discussions will begin negotiations on how this month’s strike can be prevented.
