High doctor and nurse turnover linked to higher patient mortality, data shows

NHS hospitals that have a high turnover of senior doctors and nurses have higher rates of mortality, a large study has found.

The study’s lead author said his message to the government and NHS England was to find strategies “to retain skilled clinicians within the NHS”.
