Higher aspirin dose unnecessary for pre-eclampsia prevention, study suggests

The preventative effect of aspirin against pre-eclampsia does not appear to vary by aspirin dose, a study has suggested.

A cohort study of 13,828 pregnant women in Sweden found no association between a higher dose (150 to 160 mg) or a lower dose (75 mg) of aspirin and the risk of developing pre-eclampsia or bleeding complications.1
