Hospital stabbing suspect appears in court

A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a nurse who was stabbed with scissors at Royal Oldham Hospital.

Roman Haque, 37, from Yasmin Gardens in Royton, Oldham, stood in the dock at Manchester Magistrates’ Court for a brief 5-minute hearing on Tuesday following the incident which took place at around 11.30pm on Saturday in the hospital’s acute medical unit.
