Hospital trust uses PAs to cover more than 100 doctor shifts in 6 months - FOI

Physician associates were used to cover more than 100 doctor shifts in 6 months at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

The FOI request found that 102 doctor shifts at the trust were covered by PAs between 1 October 2023 and 31 March 2024.
