HRT not linked to increased risk of death, finds large study

Hormone replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms is not associated with an increased risk of death, according to a large study of 800,000 women.

There were also no clear differences found in deaths from specific causes – including heart disease, stroke or cancer – between those who took HRT and those who didn’t, according to the paper in the BMJ.
