Increase patient payments by 36% to end collective action, says BMA

Pay GP practices in England 11p more per patient per day to put an end to collective action, the British Medical Association has urged the government.

The union’s General Practice Committee in England (GPCE) has called for the government to increase the payment per weighted patient by more than a third, from 31p to 42p per day for the 2025/26 financial year.
