A groundbreaking study using artificial intelligence has identified insulin resistance as a significant risk factor for 12 types of cancer, offering new possibilities for early screening and prevention strategies.
It is the first population-scale evidence that insulin resistance is a risk factor for cancer, according to researchers, that has used AI to analyse health records from around 500,000 participants in the UK Biobank.
